About the Author

Born in Wilmington, DE, John Stengel is an NYC-based playwright and director with a passion for unconventional storytelling. In his writing, John focuses on exploring the complexities of the queer experience, blending comedy with radical empathy to invite the audience to question their lives outside the theatre. As a queer artist with a political background, he aims to use his work to not only spark personal change, but change in the world around him. Outside of playwriting, John can be found onstage, sound designing, and playing with his cat in his spare time.
